Report: Giants coaches returning to facilities, preparing for camp

The New York Giants coaching staff has begun returning to East Rutherford, where they will be tested for COVID-19 before preparing for camp.

The NFL and NFLPA appear to have a long way to go before agreeing on protocols ahead of the 2020 season, but despite that, clubs across the league continue to prepare as if training camps will start on schedule.

The New York Giants are among those clubs and on Friday, ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reported that coaches and staff are beginning to return to East Rutherford, where they will be tested for COVID-19 and then begin preparing for the summer ahead.

Additionally, per New Jersey governor Phil Murphy, they will be exempt from the two-week out-of-state quarantine.

Currently, Giants training camp is schedule to begin on July 28, but that is still subject to change as more data on COVID-19 is gathered and both the NFL and NFLPA continue their negotiations.
