Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and TE Travis Kelce have been enjoying themselves at the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada. The annual charity tournament benefits social justice initiatives, coronavirus relief funds and regional Lake Tahoe non-profit organizations.
Have no idea how im going to focus today playing my first round @ACChampionship with @tkelce and my man Charles Barkley ๐๐๐๐

Mahomes and Kelce were grouped with Charles Barkley on Day 1. Barkley has a bit of a reputation in this tournament. In nearly half of his appearances at the American Century Championship, Barkley has finished dead last. He finished the day in 69th place on Friday, with only Demarcus Ware and Eddie George playing worse. In 2018, Barkley had 6000/1 odds to win the tournament.
Despite potential distractions from their teammate, Mahomes and Kelce finished the day tied for 46th, both shooting -3.

Mahomes took a break from playing to join NFL Network for an interview to talk about his new contract extension, his platform, the golf tournament and more.
Mahomes and Kelce both had some standout moments on the golf course and had some moments that felt straight out of “Happy Gilmore.”

We learned that Mahomes needs to work on his ball security too.

Mahomes even challenged Chiefs superfan Rob Riggle, who is also participating in the tournament, to a friendly bet on today’s match.
Im calling out @RobRiggle. $2500 bet to the winner of our match tomorrow @ACChampionship. Money goes to the winnerโs charity of choice! #KansasCity
