Bills, NFL players may be fined for conduct leading to COVID spread

Reports say Buffalo Bills, NFL Players could be fined for COVID-spreading conduct.

In an effort to limited the spread of coronavirus between players, coaches and other team personnel, there may be fines placed for actions leading to that.

The NFL Players’ Association has already cautioned against group workouts since a number of players have tested positive around the league. Now, the NFLPA is considering fining players for “conduct detrimental” leading to the spread of COVID-19.

ESPN’s Dan Graziano reported Thursday night that the union held a two-hour conference call with players’ representatives and discussed the possibility players could be fined. Those could come down if players are caught going to public places or riding in Ubers, even.

A smart safety tactic taken, but this could come around to bite the Bills. After the NFLPA urged players not to get together, new cornerback Josh Norman took to social media and posted videos of Bills defenders working out together and also taking part in team-bonding activities. Players may have to stop doing so.

Norman is not the only player in the league that’s done so. Others such as Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Bucs quarterack Tom Brady have done the same.

Fining players could send a big message to team members.
