The NFL just informed clubs it will not conduct a supplemental draft this year, per source.

According to NFL reporter Tom Pelissero, the NFL has decided they will not conduct a 2020 supplemental draft. In the NFL collective bargaining agreement, the league has an option to hold a supplemental draft every offseason but the circumstances surrounding the current COVID-19 pandemic made the league reconsider for this season. Those players who might have considered it this year are instead eligible for the 2021 NFL draft.
The supplemental draft is something of a player auction where teams bid a draft pick for the rights to make the pick of a player and lowest pick wins. It is designed for players who have had some sort of unforeseen and significant change since their opportunity to enter the normal NFL draft and instead are given another chance.
This seems like an odd move given the current state of sports. There could be an influx of players who could make a case to be in the supplemental draft due to possible restrictions at the university they attend.
