The American Century celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe announced that Bills quarterback Josh Allen and retired defensive tackle Kyle Williams are scheduled to return to the event once again this July.
The tournament will be held at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course from July 10-12 with no fans in attendance due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. All prize money at this year’s event will be donated to Covid-19 relief.
Last year, Allen finished 63rd out of 90 participants. Former Cowboys QB-turned-NFL analyst Tony Romo has won this event three years in a row. Williams fared much better, finishing in a three-way tied for 12th.
A total of 13 Hall of Famers and 19 active NFL, NBA and NHL players are expected to also participate, along with other celebrities.
While there will be no fans, Allen has been known to have fun at these events, so it could be a fun one to watch. In late January, Allen appeared in the PGA pro-am tournament and put a reporter through a folding table. Classic:
