Philadelphia 76ers rookie Matisse Thybulle joined teammate Tobias Harris on Saturday in the protests and march in the City of Brotherly Love following the death of George Floyd.

Athletes worldwide have come together to use their platform to speak out against social injustice and racism. Players have even joined in on the protests themselves around the world to condemn police brutality of minorities.

Thybulle and Harris have previously marched through Philadelphia since the killing of Floyd on May 25. On Saturday, Thybulle was seen holding a sign encouraging citizens to get out and vote while wearing an “I Can’t Breathe” shirt.

Athletes know that in order to help create systematic change in the United States and countries around the world that action must be taken. The demonstrations have proved that it will take a collective effort to make changes but that there is still a lot of work to be done.
