While much of the noise around Michigan State’s recruiting this offseason has been around the football team under new head coach Mel Tucker, Tom Izzo and his staff have also been busy recruiting top prospects around the country via virtual meetings and Zoom calls. The latest offer by the Spartans was sent out to 2021 4-star forward Jeremy Sochan out of La Porte, Indiana.
Sochan plays for La Lumiere School and is the No. 2 ranked player in the state of Indiana according to the 247Sports composite rankings and their No. 13 ranked small forward in the 2021 class.
The offer was first reported, from what I have seen, by Jake Weingarten of Stockrisers:
Michigan State’s Tom Izzo did indeed offer four-star junior Jeremy Sochan this week, Sochan told @Stockrisers. He completed a zoom call with the staff last month.
Spartans’ have heavy interest here.

Weingarten notes at the end that the Spartans have “heavy interest” in Sochan, who is a top-100 player in his class. Sochan is a versatile wing who could play either forward position.
