Welterweight contender Shawn Porter recently said that if could have had the career of either Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao, he would choose Pacquiao.
That’s not a knock on Mayweather, who Porter said was a great fighter. It is the passion generated by Pacquiao, the excitement, the classic fights that appeal to the warrior in him. And, Porter added, more fans seem to appreciate Pacquiao than Mayweather.
“I like the battle and I like the excitement. So, for those reasons, I would pick Manny,” he said on an Impact Network show.
