A lot has been made about the Los Angeles Rams’ new uniforms, with some people hating them and others loving the new design. There’s a large contingent of fans who think the team went too far from its roots, but based on the response from players themselves, they think the Rams got it just right.
Robert Woods, for one, loves the new look. He especially likes the new “bone” color, which is a one-of-the-kind design that no other team will wear.
“Yeah, I think it looks pretty fierce with the helmet, just the color concept,” Woods said on FOX Sports. “But I just think it’s super futuristic for the Rams. It was something that I didn’t see coming. I know a lot of the fans didn’t see it coming. But I think it just brought excitement for the logo, for the new stadium, for fans to get back in the stadium and for football to get back started, something to spring back this 2020 season.”
When the Rams revealed their new uniforms, there were a lot of people surprised by the design. That was true of both the royal and the bone colors, and even Woods himself didn’t see it coming.
He was surprised by what the Rams chose to go with, but in a good way. He knows a lot of fans didn’t see it coming, either.
Woods, of course, got a sneak peek of the uniforms before they were released, but not because the team showed them to him. He walked by the equipment room and caught a glimpse of them.
“Probably like a week or two before the jerseys came out, I came the facility to get some rehab in and snuck by the equipment room and I saw the jerseys in there and it took me by storm,” Woods said. “Not to have a white jersey, to see the bone, the blue number, it was super futuristic. And I like that they kept the yellow pants – keep it traditional for the L.A. fans and keeping the Rams’ tradition with LA.”
The Rams don’t have designated home and away uniforms, so they can wear either set at home or on the road. The royal and “sol” combination will most likely be their primary uniforms that they wear more often than the others, but they can also wear the bone color at home.
