Retired Giants legend Eli Manning finally joins Twitter

Retired New York Giants legend and future Hall of Fame quarterback, Eli Manning, has finally joined Twitter.

Back in mid-April, retired New York Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes hinted that future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Eli Manning could soon be joining Twitter.

Well, credit to Tynes because his nudge was apparently all Manning needed to finally cave and join the world of social media.

Manning officially signed up for Twitter on Sunday, blue check and all, and within minutes had more than 13,500 followers.

Tom Brady was among the first to welcome Manning in a way that only TB12 could.

Manning was careful not to take on the social media world during his 16 years in the NFL, but in retirement, will likely use the platform to helps his community and those in need around both the country and the world.

And perhaps most fittingly, Manning’s Twitter bio reads, “Once a Giant, always a Giant, only a Giant,” referencing the final words of his retirement speech earlier this year.
