Back in December, Philadelphia 76ers rookie Matisse Thybulle experienced a career-night after recording a season-high 20 points during a six-point victory over the Toronto Raptors.

The night proved to be a very exciting one for Thybulle as he also dropped in five 3-pointers during the victory. Certainly, Thybulle was pumped throughout the evening as he recently sat down with 76ers reporter Lauren Rosen to provide his thoughts on the game.

On one play, in particular, Thybulle drained a 3-pointer and proceeded to celebrate the shot with his teammates. Thybulle said the moment was very exciting for him but also touched on a time when his celebrations weren’t necessarily the best.

“On a scale of 1-10, that was probably like a 12,” Thybulle said of the celebrations. “I’ll explain it like this: In college, my celebrations were so bad, my teammates were like, ‘You either got to do better or just stop.'”

Thybulle has emerged as a great perimeter defender this season with the Sixers and has had put together an impressive rookie campaign in a limited role. As his role eventually expands, he may need to begin to upgrade his celebration package. With Joel Embiid as a teammate, he may have all of the help he needs to become better in that department.
