The NFL pre-draft, draft and post-draft processes this year, as everybody knows, have been like no other.

After the Wisconsin Badgers had their pro day on March 11 everything from pro days, pre-draft interviews, the draft itself and now the post-draft signing period and offseason programs were moved to a completely-online format.

The result of this online offseason process has created a slight roadblock for the teams to sign their high draft picks, as team personnel are unable to meet face-to-face with their draftees and acclimate them to life in the NFL.

Nevertheless, teams are finding a way to get it all done and earlier today the Indianapolis Colts were able to sign former Badger running back Jonathan Taylor to his rookie contract.

Along with Taylor the Colts have now agreed to terms with nine of their 11 draft selections as we enter into the time period that usually sees rookies report for mini camps and team-wide OTAs get underway.

There is still a lot of uncertainty about what the rest of the offseason and the regular season will look like, but given today’s news it seems like the signing of draft picks in the end will not be largely affected by today’s pandemic.
