Mel Tucker and Michigan State Football’s recruiting efforts are taking over the world. Today, the Spartans found their punter for the 2021 recruiting class as Australian Punter Mark Vassett announced his commitment to Michigan State.

Vassett comes from the ProKick Program, which was also home to former Michigan State Punter, Jack Bouwmeester. Mark Vassett stands at an absolutely sturdy 6’4″ and weighs 210 pounds, continuing the trend of tall recruits for Mel Tucker and company.
The Spartans recently landed UTEP graduate transfer Punter Mitchell Crawford, who is also from Australia and has one remaining year of eligibility. Michigan State also has redshirt junior walk-ons, Bryce Baringer and Tyler Hunter.
As you likely know, Michigan State just landed a commitment from 3-star safety Michael Gravely Jr. out of Ohio. As a result, the MSU Football 2021 Recruiting Class is now ranked No. 21 in the country by 247sports.
