The secret is out, sortvof — J.K. Dobbins will presumably be wearing no. 27 with the Baltimore Ravens, if a certain picture on social media is to be believed. If so, this would be an obvious change from the No. 2 he wore his three years as a member of Ohio State.
Per the Ravens’ team website, it appears No. 2 is currently not in use, so Dobbins didn’t change his number from his college days in Columbus because a previous player had it.
The Ravens also haven’t officially confirmed jersey numbers of their new draft picks, but a picture surfaced on the NFL’s Twitter profile that seems to have told the world.
With the Ravens’ general manager calling Dobbins “impossible” to pass on, Dobbins was clearly not getting any further than the second round.
He was eventually selected 53rd overall and will team up with Lamar Jackson and a dominant Ravens’ roster. That said, here’s a picture with Dobbins and his two new star teammates.
