Penn State wide receiver Dan Chisena signs with Vikings as undrafted free agent

Say hello to Dan Chisena, who recently signed with the Minnesota Vikings.

Minnesota drafted two wide receivers in 2020, including one in the first round. But that hasn’t stopped them from adding two more as undrafted free agents.

The Vikings recently signed Penn State wide receiver Dan Chisena. The team also agreed to a deal with Texas A&M wideout Quartney Davis after the draft.

Chisena had 66 receiving yards for the Nittany Lions in 2019. He played special teams for Penn State as well. He also ran track for the school. He has decent size for a speedy wide receiver.

LSU’s Justin Jefferson, a first round pick, and Miami’s K.J. Osborn were the two wide receivers taken by Minnesota in the NFL Draft this year.

The team also added former Titans wide receiver Tajae Sharpe in free agency.

It will be interesting to see how the wide receiver position group plays out for 2020, after the team traded Stefon Diggs to the Bills for draft picks. Diggs was Minnesota’s leading receiver in 2019, so replacing his production becomes vital.
