There appears to be a good sign in the NBA as they continue to be on hiatus due to the novel coronavirus. Being in suspension since March 11, the teams were forced to close their practice facilities in an effort to stop the spread of the virus, but now that is beginning to change.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the NBA is allowing teams to re-open their practice facilities beginning May 1 in markets where stay at home orders are beginning to loosen. This is part of an effort to get the players back in the facilities and get them loose in the case that the league can eventually resume.
In the case of the Philadelphia 76ers, their practice facility resides in Camden, New Jersey. The state has extended their stay at home order to May 15 so the league will have to work with them in order for the players to get some work in.
Sources: Teams will be allowed to make facilities open to players on a voluntary basis for individual work, but larger group workouts will still be prohibited. In NBA markets that aren't loosening restrictions, league plans to work w/ teams on other arrangements for players. https://t.co/yZSKsXedW1

This does not mean that an NBA resumption is imminent, but it does give everybody hope. Until then, we all must follow CDC guidelines and keep ourselves safe and healthy. [lawrence-related id=30020,30010,30002]
