KNOXVILLE — Former Tennessee edge rusher Darrell Taylor has been selected in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Taylor was taken in the second round (48th pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft.
He played for the Vols from 2015-19 and switched from defensive end to outside linebacker during Jeremy Pruitt’s first season as Tennessee’s head coach in 2018.
Taylor recorded 19.5 sacks, 26.5 tackles for a loss, six forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries during his 43-game Tennessee career.
As a senior, Taylor had 8.5 sacks and 46 tackles in 2019.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound linebacker is from Hopewell High School in Hopewell, Va.
The 2020 NFL Draft will take place Thursday through Saturday and will be televised on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.
Round 1 will kickoff at 8 p.m. ET Thursday, and rounds 2 and 3 will be held Friday beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The 2020 NFL Draft will conclude Saturday with Rounds 4 through 7 starting at noon ET.
