The New York Giants were said to be looking to potentially trade down in Round 2 of the 2020 NFL Draft, but circumstances have changed.
As the start of Day 2 looms, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the Giants have been active in attempting to trade up in Round 2 despite currently holding the No. 36 pick (fourth overall in the round).
A couple more teams to keep an eye on: The #Bears and #Giants have made calls about a potential trade-up quickly on tonight. We’ll see what transpires, but a good opportunity for action early. https://t.co/ygA2GHDbq6

As Rapoport notes, the Giants are not alone in their question to move up. They are being joined by the Chicago Bears and the New Orleans Saints, who are also actively attempting to trade up in Round 2.
Currently, the Giants have 10 picks remaining, including two on Day 2, one each in Rounds 4, 5 and 6, and a total of four in Round 7, including pick No. 255 overall, Mr. Irrelevant.
Given the draft value chart, the Giants have little ammunition to move up from No. 36 overall with their next pick coming at No. 99 overall, but perhaps a hefty package of middle or late-round picks with get the job done.
