In his final 2020 NFL mock draft for ESPN, Mel Kiper has Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb falling to the Denver Broncos, who select him with the 15th overall pick in the first round (subscription required for link).
Fellow wide receivers Jerry Jeudy (No. 13; San Francisco 49ers) and Justin Jefferson (No. 14; Tampa Bay Buccaneers) are picked in Kiper’s mock before the Broncos’ selection.
Henry Ruggs, a popular option for Denver in mock drafts, falls all the way to the Minnesota Vikings at No. 22 in Kiper’s mock, slipping past the Philadelphia Eagles at No. 21. That seems unlikely to actually happen.
The Broncos selecting Lamb is a change from Kiper’s last mock, which had the team landing Jefferson. In his mock before that, Kiper had Denver selecting Ruggs. Clearly, Kiper feels the Broncos will add a receiver.
Denver is scheduled to have 10 picks in the draft but it wouldn’t be surprising to see the team trade several selections during the draft.
