Due to extenuating circumstances, sports fans were robbed of March Madness, but the absence of live sports has brought recruiting into the forefront in a time I am labeling, against my better judgement, “April Madness.” The latest news on the basketball recruiting front comes from one of the top recruiting targets for Michigan State’s 2021 class as Pierre Brooks announced on Tuesday that he would be making his commitment announcement on Wednesday, April 22nd at 2pm ET.

According to reports, Brooks has taken a virtual visit with Michigan State this week. This is a major announcement for Spartan fans to look for as Brooks is 247sports‘ No. 1 player in the state of Michigan for 2021 and their No. 18 shooting guard in the 2021 class.
Michigan State’s primary competition for Brooks will be Michigan and Xavier although he also has an offer from Arizona State who already swiped the commitment of 2020 recruit Josh Christopher from U of M.
