Several of the top recruits from the 2022 recruiting class revealed on Wednesday that they had earned offers from Alabama, including St. James High School standout Shazz Preston.
The four-star wide receiver out of St. James (La.) took to Twitter to announce the news:
WOW!! #AGTG🙏🏾 I am truly BLESSED and truly HUMBLED to “EARN” an offer from the University of Alabama #RollTide 🐘🔴⚪️ @CoachGolding @HolmonWiggins pic.twitter.com/XIOsJqNccO

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Preston is rated as the nation’s No. 38 overall player, No. 7 wide receiver and No. 1 player from the state of Louisiana.
Rivals.com hasn’t released official numerical rankings for the 2022 class, but Preston is rated as a four-star prospect according to the site.
So far, it looks like in-state LSU and Mississippi State are the two favorites to land the 5-foot-11, 178-pound receiver, but look for the Crimson Tide to start making some headway now that an offer has been extended.
Stay tuned for more recruiting updates on Preston and the rest of the 2022 class from Roll Tide Wire!
