A three-star prospect, Harmon chose Michigan State over three other finalists: Ole Miss, Purdue, and Memphis. The 6-foot-3 320-pound projected nose tackle is considered a late riser in the recruiting process. He is currently a three-star recruit, rated as the 59th-best defensive tackle in the country by the 247Sports composite ranking. His ranking jumped from an 83 to an 84 in the latest 247Sports re-ranks.
Harmon is the fourth high school recruit to commit to Tucker and MSU in the last eight days. Oak Park’s Davion Primm got the ball rolling on April 7. He was followed by East Lansing lineman Ethan Boyd and defensive back Gabe Nealy out of Miami, FL.
Michigan State is also the favorite to land Warren Mott defensive end Tyson Watson. Watson is scheduled to announce his commitment on April 17.
