Will anyone take a chance on Folsom?
Folsom only played one year as a grad transfer for the Rams, but he did provide veteran leadership for the Rams. The season didn’t go they way the Rams had hoped it would, but Folsom helped with the Rams young linebacker corp.
Folsom didn’t blow up the stat sheet, averaging just over five tackles a game, but his work rate was one of the highest for the Rams. Whenever he was on the field, you could always find Folsom running to the ball.
No chatter has popped up about his draft position. No rankings and wasn’t mentioned in the local pro day coverage. So, possibly a long shot.

Strengths
Folsom’s ceiling could be a Deone Bucannon type of hybrid safety/linebacker. He has good speed for a linebacker but is on the smaller side.
Folsom had excellent sideline to sideline coverage and was very adept at keeping the play in front of him.
Folsom has good instincts in the run game, with a two and a half tackle for loss stat line against Air Force to show for it.
Weakness
Where Folsom struggles is in the passing game when asked to man up on tight ends or running backs. He’s too small to match up against tight ends and too slow to match up against running backs.
Folsom also has a tendency to jump on a play when he sees something. Teams realized this as the season went on and used it against him.
Draft Prediction
Expected to go undrafted, he most likely gets a rookie camp invite. The hybrid safety/linebacker is Folsom’s most likely position if he were to make it in the NFL, but he would probably be more of a special teams player.
