With the coronavirus pandemic bringing the sports world to a complete halt, plenty of fans are starved for anything that could be mildly considered sports (well, except for the NBA HORSE Challenge).
But we’re in luck (sort of) because the NFL Draft is scheduled for next week, which means that football fans are absolutely in the mood to break down game film. I’m pretty sure that’s all our Steven Ruiz has been doing for the past 30 days.
Anyway, with that in mind, this video of a dog absolutely leveling some kid at an Easter egg hunt couldn’t have hit Twitter at a better time.
From viewer Mike McCarthy. He shared this video with me on fb from an egg hunt in PA. Poor little guy. That dog ain't playin'@RexChapman Easter block or charge? pic.twitter.com/YAVdUVRpcQ

The video, which had two angles (!!!), showed some young kid joyously running along before a dog entered the frame to make a vicious tackle. But was the hit clean?
Sports fans had plenty of jokes and analysis for this All-Pro Defensive Dog’s tackle.
I slowed the video down and combined the two angles, because this video is amazing. pic.twitter.com/99n6lZ7erz

This was a good clean hit, Fur baby lead with the shoulders and took the legs right from under him. https://t.co/bTEvaoAgR9

Nice form tackle. Led with his shoulder. Followed through and finished the play. Good play recognition and nice acceleration through the hit. Definite second-day potential. https://t.co/9yAhKtAQX5

It was a good open field tackle. You'd like to see him wrap up after the hit, but he led with the shoulder. Good hit. https://t.co/vvwoe1TVu6

Nicely done, internet.
It looked like a clean hit to me. The kid needs to keep that head on a swivel, though.
But seriously, let’s hope he’s OK (which seems likely considering someone posted a two-angle video of the hit).
