Duke Blue Devils guard Tre Jones told ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski that he will declare for the upcoming 2020 NBA Draft. Jones was named the ACC Player of the Year earlier this month.

Jones was widely expected to enter the NBA Draft after an impressive sophomore campaign in which he averaged 16.2 points, 6.4 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game. He ranked in the top 10 with 1.9 assists in transition, according to Synergy.

The 6-foot-3 Jones is considered by most to be a late first-round pick to an early second-round pick. He will be among a crowded group of point guards in the 2020 NBA Draft class and is projected to be selected with the 33rd overall pick in the latest 2020 Rookie Wire Mock Draft.

Jones became the second underclassman to declare his intentions of entering the draft after Georgia guard, and potential No. 1 overall pick, Anthony Edwards told 247Sports that will leave school early. Edwards averaged 19.1 points and 5.2 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
