The Seattle Seahawks added the first piece of their pass rush puzzle into the fold on Wednesday, agreeing to terms with veteran defensive end Bruce Irvin on a one-year deal.
Irvin spent the first five years of his career in a Seattle uniform after getting drafted in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft, the same draft class that also brought Russell Wilson and Bobby Wagner to the Seahawks.
Irvin was a fan favorite while in the Emerald City, and no one is more excited than him to be back in the green and blue for the 2020 season.
IM SO HAPPY TO BE GOING HOME!!!! 12โs I love you!

Of course, his new teammates are pretty happy to see him back home as well, including defensive tackle Jarran Reed, who himself just re-upped with Seattle this past week.

And finally, it wasn’t just NFL players who were happy Irvin is back in Seattle, as the fan base made it clear they are welcoming the 32-year-old versatile pass rusher back with open arms.

Irvin answered a few fan questions after agreeing to return to Seattle as well, including what number he will wear and which restaurant he will go to first:

Irvin’s return will be a much-needed boost for this Seahawks team, both on and off the field.
