According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Washington Redskins are signing former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Sean Davis for a one-year deal worth up to $5 million.
Davis is likely to compete for the starting free safety job and play alongside veteran strong safety Landon Collins, helping to shore up the backline of the defensive secondary.
Davis played for four years in Pittsburgh but was limited to only one game in 2019 due to injury.
In his four-year career, Davis has a total of five interceptions and 247 combined tackles. He was drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
