NFL free agency is finally upon us and is in full swing. As the league scrambles to keep up with breaking news and high profile players switching teams, the Seattle Seahawks will certainly be focusing on making the right moves to help their team for the 2020 season.
One area of concern for the Seahawks is bolstering their wide receiver corps. While Tyler Lockett is a bonafide No. 1 and the dynamic DK Metcalf proved to be a solid No. 2, it was clear the Seahawks did not have a third option for quarterback Russell Wilson.
Seattle attempted to remedy the situation by acquiring former Browns and Patriots receiver Josh Gordon. Despite the issues Gordon has faced with substance abuse and NFL suspensions, the Seahawks took a flyer on the much maligned receiver.
Unfortunately, Gordon’s inaugural tenure in Seattle didn’t last long as he received his fifth suspension from the league for performance enhancing substance and substance abuse. However, under the newly ratified CBA, there will no longer be marijuana based suspensions in the league.
Should Josh Gordon be reinstated from his indefinite suspension, he has already signaled his desire to return to the Seahawks on Twitter.
Idk if I’m allowed to be a free agent, but if I was; I like those bright green uni’s. 😂 😉

Seeing as though only one team in the NFL sports bright green uniforms, it’s clear Gordon wants to stay in Seattle.
While Gordon only accumulated seven receptions for 139 yards and no touchdowns in his five games, it is important to note he came aboard mid-season and didn’t have much time to develop legitimate chemistry with Russell Wilson.
Although Gordon did come through with several clutch third down conversions in Seattle’s wild MNF victory over the 49ers, and hauled in a 58-yard bomb in a 30-24 win against the Panthers.
Not for nothing, teammate Quandre Diggs replied to Gordon’s tweet with a sign of support for his return to the Seahawks.
You a seahawk dawg relax!
