Mere moments after NFL players voted to approve ratification of the new collective bargaining agreement, the NFL Management Council announced that the 2020 salary cap will be set at $198.2 million, falling short of the $200-plus million number many had anticipated.

At $198.2 million, that represents just a 5.3% increase over the salary cap from a season ago, marking the smallest overall increase since 2013.

- 2017: $167.0M
- 2018: 177.3M
- 2019: $188.2M
According to Over the Cap, the New York Giants will have $78,435,117 in available salary cap space once the new league year begins. That is the fifth-most available space in the NFL.
