Giants’ Golden Tate is a new Bud brand ambassador

New York Giants WR Golden Tate is one of three active NFL players to be named a new “Bud brand ambassador.”

New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate isn’t exactly light on beer money, but he may make a few extra runs to pick up some Bud this spring now that he’s taken on the role of “Bud brand ambassador.”

FOX Business reports that Tate is one of three NFL athletes who have agreed to serve as Anheuser-Busch InBev ambassadors, joining Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters and Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Eric Fisher.

“Guess what, y’all? We got a deal. We got a deal, y’all. Check it out,” Tate says in the above tweet before cracking a Bud.

FOX Business notes that Bud initially responded to Tate on Twitter after the veteran posted a video of himself chugging a Bud in an American flag-themed ski outfit while in Canada.

The NFL altered its rules last May, allowing active players to begin appearing in beer advertisements and serving as spokesmen or ambassadors. The league also has a long-term sponsorship deal in place with Anheuser-Busch InBev.
