A legend created before our eyes.
The NFL Combine is well underway in Indianapolis this week and numerous prospects have already found unique ways to make a name for themselves before a single 40-yard dash time or bench press rep has been recorded.
Perhaps no one has separated himself more than former Fresno State offensive lineman Netane Muti, who checked into Lucas Oil Stadium at a shade under 6-foot-3 and a very healthy 315 pounds. Few, if any, doubt his physical strength, but we’ve learned today the unexpected ways that has manifested itself.
Fresno State guard Netane Muti, one of the draft’s top run blockers, says he’s polished off a 10×10 at In-N-Out Burger: 10 beef patties, 10 slices of cheese. pic.twitter.com/ZJsX2YgvRE

For those of you who are unfamiliar with In-N-Out Burger, it’s a California institution with locations across the American West that’s perhaps most famous for its secret menu. The biggest burger on the typical menu, the Double-Double, contains 670 calories, so multiplying that by five — 3,350 calories — is essentially putting a day-and-a-half’s worth of calories into one item (and that says nothing of the unholy amount of sodium and saturated fat). There has also been no word of whether Muti prefers his In-N-Out burgers “animal style”, which would change the calculus a bit.
If that wasn’t enough, however, another former Bulldog and fellow offensive lineman, Micah St. Andrew, chimed in to hint at evidence of an even more awe-inspiring feat. Fingers crossed, we will be able to update this article with the video evoked here.
They haven't seen the video of you eating the whole mcdouble in one bite? @netane_muti52 https://t.co/dT4v4pNDP9

A cursory search for past video suggests this is pretty much par for the course, though, at least as far as a third former Fresno State player, Dejonte O’Neal, is concerned.

No shame, though. Big dudes gotta eat, right? We’ll be interested to see Muti eat (in the proverbial sense, of course) on the turf at Lucas Oil Stadium when he and the rest of the offensive linemen get their workouts underway on Friday, February 28.
