Report: Giants will send entire staff to 2020 NFL Combine

The New York Giants will send their entire staff to the 2020 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, while other teams send thinner contingents.

While most teams will send thinner contingents to the 2020 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, instead relying heavily on video, the New York Giants have decided to go in the opposite direction.

Tom Rock of Newsday reports that the Giants will send their entire staff — executives, scouts and coaches — to the annual prospect showcase.

Watching video may be enough to learn about the athletic skills of a prospect, but meeting them in-person gives evaluators a sense of who they are, how much they understand, how determined they may be and where their level of football IQ sits.

Given that the Giants are selecting No. 4 overall and desperately trying to turn the tides around in East Rutherford, it makes sense that they’d send the entire cavalry. After all, they simply can not continue to get this wrong and desperate times call for desperate measures.

This also continues the Joe Judge approach to things, where no stone is left unturned.

The Combine will technically begin on Sunday, February 23 with the arrival of quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends and will continue through Monday, March 2.
