The 49ers’ loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV will have a ripple effect into April’s NFL draft.
They’ll have pick No. 31 in the first round to go along with their fifth, sixth and seventh-round picks. They also have a fifth-round selection they acquired from the Broncos.
We won’t know their full slate of picks until compensatory picks are distributed.
It’s going to be an interesting offseason for the 49ers, who have a couple key players hitting free agency, DeForest Buckner and George Kittle entering the final year of their rookie deals, and only one pick in the first four rounds.
They’re going to have some moves to make if they want to have more than their first-round pick to work with early in the draft.
