During Eli Manning’s retirement press conference last week, New York Giants co-owner John Mara said that his fellow co-owner, Steve Tisch, had some movie roles in store for Manning.
“Eli, Steve did tell me he has some movie roles in store for you. You obviously made an impression on him with your fine acting in all those commercials you did,” Mara said with a laugh.
Manning, of course, had starred in countless commercials over the years and even hosted Saturday Night Live in 2012, so he certainly has the chops for it.
Whether or not Manning ever does make the big screen remains to be seen, but he’s already back at work post-retirement, starring in yet another commercial alongside his big brother, Peyton Manning — this one the latest ad for Madden.
And yes, it’s every bit as hilarious as you might expect from the Manning brothers.
Eli never shies away from anything, so adding a line about not playing as much as he wanted to in 2019 only makes this commercial that much more humorous.
Hopefully this isn’t the last time we see Eli in a commercial.
