Greg Olsen’s time with the Carolina Panthers has come to an end. He may not be done playing yet, though. According to Ian Rapoport at NFL Network, Olsen’s agent Drew Rosenhaus says he is still interested in playing and he will be in contact with teams after the Super Bowl.
Olsen hasn’t been a Pro Bowl level tight end for a few years. However, it’s worth mentioning he has been limited by injuries and could still be a meaningful contributor for an NFL offense.
Interested teams may have to compete with broadcasters, though. Olsen has gotten rave reviews for his work as an analyst for Fox Sports. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he ultimately goes that route rather than continuing his playing career. In the meantime, Olsen will be working during Super Bowl week and five XFL games.
We wish Olsen well in all his future endeavors, whatever they may be.
