Browns hire Eagles Andrew Berry as GM and Executive VP of football operations

Andrew Berry to be named Browns Executive VP and General Manager

The Cleveland Browns have apparently found their new GM and its a familiar name, as Ian Rapoport is reporting that Andrew Berry is set to be named to the role.

Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reported that Berry was the Haslam’s first choice to replace John Dorsey, referring to the owner’s special relationship with the former Browns executive.

Berry was hired by Howie Roseman and the Eagles after previously serving as the Cleveland Browns’ vice president of player personnel. With his specialty being analytics Berry is viewed by many as an up-and-coming talent in the NFL.

Berry was the Browns’ vice president of player personnel from 2016 to 2018 and he’ll return to work closely alongside current chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta.

The Eagles denied the Panthers’ request to interview Berry for executive VP, Rapoport previously reported, but At 32 years of age, he’s arrived and now he’ll be the youngest GM in the NFL.
