The Philadelphia 76ers are continuing to add more players who fit their wishes as the February 6 trade deadline approaches. They have made it known that they are interested in adding more shooting to add to their arsenal and names like Bogdan Bogdanovic and Robert Covington have been brought up.
Now, another name has been thrown into the ring and that is Oklahoma City Thunder stretch forward Danilo Gallinari. According to The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, the Sixers and now the Dallas Mavericks have expressed interest in acquiring the Thunder forward.
Danilo Gallinari stands out as an option. Multiple playoff teams have expressed interest in the Thunder forward, including the Mavericks and Sixers, according to league sources.
Gallinari stands at 6-foot-10 and he can shoot as his 40.8% 3-point percentage suggests and he can also put the ball on the floor. He is averaging 19.0 points per game in Oklahoma City and he might be a better fit on the floor next to Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid rather than Al Horford.
The challenge for Gallinari, much like Bogdanovic, is that he is a free agent after the 2019-20 season. So that would be a tough decision to make for general manager Elton Brand as he continues to decide what will help his team for when the playoffs roll around. [lawrence-related id=24082,24072,24066]
