One of the best running backs in the country will be putting off the pro ranks and returning to school next year.
Alabama’s Najee’ Harris is passing on the 2020 NFL draft and will return to the Crimson Tide for the 2020 season. The announcement was made via social media in a video posted on AL.com.
One of the most highly touted recruits in the country coming out of high school, Harris patiently waited for his turn to be Alabama’s featured back behind Damien Harris, and it looks like he’s not ready to give up that role just yet. He would have likely been a Day 2 pick in the 2020 draft, but as long as he stays healthy and has another year like he had in 2019, he should still be in that range when the 2021 draft comes around.
