Chase Young was the most dominant player in college football last season and is projected to be a top-two pick in this year’s NFL draft. But there was a question about whether he’d actually declare or not.
Before the College Football Playoff, Young was ambushed by TMZ Sports and said his plan at the time was to go back to school and that he wasn’t focused on the draft.
If there was ever any doubt, it’s gone now. Young officially announced his intent to declare for the NFL draft on Friday afternoon.

After an amazing three years at Ohio State, it’s time for me to being the next chapter. I’m excited to finally announce my declaration for the 2020 draft.
It’s still early — the draft process hasn’t even really started yet. But most people expect Young to fall no further than number two to the Washington Redskins where he’d be reunited with his former teammate Dwayne Haskins – who tweeted that he’d see Young soon.
See you soon 😉 https://t.co/CLvbTZ5Q8E

Young was the only defensive player that was a Heisman finalist in 2019. He registered 16.5 sacks and forced seven fumbles on the season despite missing two games due to suspension.
