ESPN’s Monday Night Football analyst Booger McFarland was called out quite a few times in 2019.
He made a mistake while talking about the Minneapolis Miracle, he had some weird takes about a penalty the Rams took, and Green Bay Packers wideout Davante Adams called him out for saying, “Games in this league are lost more than they’re won.”
That last one brings us to what I think is the first big sports meme of 2020, even though I’ve seen it pop up a lot in the final week of 2019. It’s using a photo of McFarland and making up a quote in which he’s stating something obvious. Here are some recent examples:
