Not even a month after being fired by the Carolina Panthers, Ron Rivera has landed his next head coaching gig with the Washington Redskins.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that Rivera and the team have agreed to a five-year deal.

The NFL insider says he expects the team to officially announce the hire on Wednesday.
He also reports that Rivera will have “significant influence” on who the Redskins hire to replace Bruce Allen, the team president of 10 seasons, who was fired on Black Monday.
Washington fired its previous head coach, Jay Gruden, on Oct. 7 following an 0-5 start to the season.
