On Monday, Tua Tagovailoa was named the winner of the 2019 Bobby Bowden Award. The award recognizes the Division I player who epitomizes a student-athlete from a faith perspective. He must conduct himself as an exemplary model in the classroom, on the field, on the campus and in the community. There’s no doubt that Tagovailoa has done an exemplary job in how he has handled adversity, relied on his faith, and maintained his leadership role while recovering from surgery after enduring a season ending injury.
Tagovailoa is with the team in Orlando as they continue to prepare for their matchup on Wednesday against Michigan in the Citrus Bowl.
