Alabama has produced talented players throughout the years on both sides of the ball at almost every position. However, it seems like this 2019 NFL season is showing that The Crimson Tide might be great at producing running backs.

Let’s check-in on the top active running backs in the NFL to have come out of Alabama:

Kenyan Drake:

The Alabama product found little to no success in Miami after being drafted by the Dolphins in 2016.

Lucky for Drake, five weeks into the 2019 season he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, who have been desperate for a consistent back since their incumbent starter, David Johnson, has recently been attacked by the injury bug.

In his six weeks in Arizona, Drake has carried the ball 87 times for a total of 417 yards and five touchdowns – four of those five touchdowns came in a single game vs. Cleveland.

Drake is still settling into his role as the lead back for the franchise, but if the trend of increasing carries and yards continue, the NFL might have to look out for the lethal combo of Drake and Kyler Murray in the Arizona backfield.
