It comes as little shock, but wide receiver Julian Edelman is expected to play against the Buffalo Bills this week.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Patriots receiver will play, despite being listed as questionable in his team’s final injury report of the week on Thursday.
“From my understanding, (Edelman) is expected to play for the Patriots on Saturday, in what is a huge, huge game for this one,” Rapoport said. “You know he’s not going to miss this one.”
The insider also added Edelman is considered “less banged up this week than last week.”
That’s a key note because last week, Edelman played poorly against a bad Bengals defense. He only had two catches for nine yards in the game.
Despite also dealing with a chest injury and other bumps earlier this year, Edelman has had a productive season. Overall, Edelman has 92 catches for 1,019 yards and six touchdowns.
