Bears LB Roquan Smith ruled out with pectoral injury

The Bears defense lost another key member of its defense with LB Roquan Smith suffering a pectoral injury in the first quarter vs. Dallas.

The Chicago Bears suffered a critical loss on defense early against the Dallas Cowboys.

Inside linebacker Roquan Smith has been ruled out with a pectoral injury suffered in the first quarter of Thursday’s game against the Cowboys.

Kevin Pierre-Louis has taken over for Smith, who joins Nick Kwiatkoski as the Bears’ inside linebacking corp as Danny Trevathan remains sidelined with an elbow injury.

Chicago’s defense is currently without key starters in Trevathan, Akiem Hicks, Amukamara and now Smith.

The Bears lead the Cowboys 10-7 in the final minutes of the second quarter.
