In Peter King’s weekly lengthy weekend recap from the NFL’s Week 13 for NBC Sports, the long-time analyst made a bold prediction.

The Bills making the 2019 postseason is just the start.

In his column, King predicts the Bills will not only make the playoffs, but that they’ll win a game. As he explains, unless the foe is the Chiefs.

Here’s what King wrote:

The Bills will win a playoff game in January. (One asterisk: As long as game one is not in Kansas City.) Three plays made me a Bills believer Thursday in Dallas, two consecutively late in the first half.

Those three plays King referenced were Josh Allen’s extra effort for a first down on fourth down, John Brown’s touchdown pass to Devin Singletary, and a block from Brown in the third quarter against a much bigger foe in Cowboys safety Xavier Woods.

While a great notion, there is one drawback here. The Bills and Chiefs might have a good look at meeting in the first round of the playoffs. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes missed time and Kansas City is well behind teams such as the Patriots (10-2) and Ravens (10-2) for one of the first or second seeds in the AFC playoff picture. While not overlooking the Bills’ future opponents down the stretch, things are lining up for the Bills to likely face either the Texans or Chiefs in the Wild Card round. Buckle up.
