99 days till the Cardinals’ 2022 season opener vs. Chiefs

Here are some players in the Cardinals’ history to wear No. 99.

We are in countdown mode again this offseason. In 99 days from now, the Arizona Cardinals will kick off their 2022 regular season at home against the Kansas City Chiefs.

No. 99 now belongs to defensive end J.J. Watt, in his second year with the team. He is only the third player in team history to wear the number as it was retired after the death of Marshall Goldberg.

Watt, in his what will surely be a Hall of Fame career, wore No. 99 his entire time with the Houston Texans and was given permission by Goldberg’s family to take the number out of retirement to wear it.

Below are players to wear No. 99 for the Cardinals.
