QB question marks

So here is why the Broncos are struggling on offense despite these prior listed playmakers. Their quarterback play doesn’t really inspire anyone. First Joe Flacco took the reigns, then his season ended on the injured reserve list, curiously right after he called out the team’s offensive play-calling in a postgame presser earlier this year.

Since then, Brandon Allen, an inexperienced third-year backup has taken over. He’s certainly struggled. He’s hitting less than half of his passes through two starts (49.2%) with 433 passing yards, but he does had three touchdowns to only one interception.

Denver general manager John Elway has really struggled to find a solid quarterback since taking that position in 2011. He’s hoping Drew Lock, the Broncos’ second-round rookie who’s been on the injured reserve list, will be that guy.

The Broncos’ overall offense ranks as the 25th best in the NFL currently.
