TJ Yeldon, RB2?
Many assume it’s Devin Singletary and a new face as the Bills’ No. 2 back. But could it be TJ Yeldon? McDermott has previously said he believes the NFL is a two-back league, and at the combine, praised Yeldon… a lot more than one would expect.
“As we know in this league, these backs take a lot of pounding, so you need two-to-three guys to help take some of the wear and tear off of the… in this case Devin… or to share the role in terms of different skill sets,” McDermott said.
“We do have TJ in there,” McDermott added. “We’ve got a lot of confidence in TJ…. in the games that he did get in there, he contributed at a high level from a leadership stand point,” McDermott said.
With nine draft picks, the Bills could still certainly add another rusher. But another nugget worth mentioning, McDermott did not once mention Frank Gore. Could Gore’s time in Buffalo be up?
