In 63 days, Kalen DeBoer will usher in a new era of Alabama Crimson Tide football, replacing the legendary [autotag]Nick Saban[/autotag] as head coach in Tuscaloosa.
Coach DeBoer and the Crimson Tide will take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on Aug. 31 to kick off the 2024 college football season inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.
At Roll Tide Wire, we will count down the days until Alabama football takes the field.
No. 63 hasn’t been a prevalent number as of late in Tuscaloosa. That said, we will go back a few years to look at a former Alabama player who wore No. 63, J.C. Hassenauer.
Hassenauer was a member of the Crimson Tide from 2014-17 where he was primarily a backup at guard and center for Alabama. Hassenauer went undrafted in the 2018 NFL draft but was on the practice squad of the New York Giants in 2023.
Hassenauer has played in a total of 45 NFL games while making seven starts.
